Uber driver dies in Utah

A Utah man was found dead in the water at a lake in the northern part of the state, authorities said Sunday.

Mark B. Smith, 59, of Provo, was found floating in the lake in a white pickup truck on Saturday evening, according to the Provo Police Department.

Police found Smith’s body in the truck, the department said in a statement.

The body was discovered about 2 a.m.

Sunday after a family member spotted a body on a neighbor’s property.

Smith’s body was found by a local police officer who was on his way to a nearby home when he noticed Smith’s pickup truck parked at a local swimming hole, according a statement from the Provos Police Department to KSL-TV.

Smith was a part owner of a travel agency that operates in Utah.

A representative of Uber said Smith had a long career with the company.
