Annapolis, Md., restaurant opens with a ‘bargain’ section

A new restaurant in Annapolis has a “bargains” section for its diners.

The eatery, Annapolis Bistro, opened Wednesday at 1350 S. Howard St. The menu includes items like $2 off burgers and $5 off tacos, and it has a $3 off bagel with butter and jam, according to a statement from the restaurant.

A photo on the menu shows the sign above the counter.

It reads, “Bargain Menu for Dinner,” which is an apparent reference to the $3.99 bagel item.

A $3-a-bagel bagel would set you back $8.25.

The restaurant’s website says it’s “a casual dining destination that offers everything you need for your next meal.”

The restaurant is owned by restaurateur Mike Cavanagh.

Cavanagh’s name appears on the restaurant’s business card.

The statement from Cavanah said the restaurant is “dedicated to our community and our mission.”

The Annapolis Restaurant Group, the group that owns the restaurant, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The restaurant, which is operated by the Annapolis Area Chamber of Commerce, did have reservations for the weekend, and the menu states that “it will be available for reservations for any meal at our restaurant.”
