NYC-based travel agency offers free flights to students
NYC- based travel agency Atlantic Travel Agency is offering free flights on the week of February 18, according to a company spokesperson.
Students, however, are only eligible to apply online through the company’s website.
The company offers flights to and from the US and Canada for a one-time fee of $149.99 per person.
If students do choose to travel by air, the flights will include one-way fares of up to $199.99.
According to the spokesperson, students can book through the app for a limited time only.
“We are excited to be offering free student travel for the entire week of Feb. 18,” said Alex Kowalski, CEO and founder of Atlantic Travel, in a statement.
“The student flight offer is part of our efforts to help students avoid long, expensive travel and instead focus on getting to and through class and learning.”
Students who choose to take advantage of the free flights will be able to book their flights on February 18 through the US-based carrier’s website and pay the standard US airfare.
The students will also receive one free ticket for themselves on their travel, which is currently $10.
If they choose to purchase a ticket with the company, they will receive the first round-trip flight for themselves, which will cost them $89.99 (approximately $6.50 per person).
Students who book with the airline on the first day of classes will receive their free flights within 48 hours.
The airline also offered students an opportunity to purchase tickets for themselves at a reduced rate, but only through February 24, after which students will have to pay the difference.
