Authorities have identified the man who died after collapsing in his vehicle while he was cleaning up at a Norfolk beach.

Police say he was traveling from New Orleans to San Francisco on Wednesday when he became unresponsive in the back seat of a white van.

The man, identified by authorities as 40-year-old Jeffrey G. Davis, had worked at the Harrisburg Travel Agency, an agency based in Richmond, Va., and had been working on a routine cleaning assignment.

Davis was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

His death is under investigation.

Harrisburg police spokesman Lt.

Dave O’Brien said police are still investigating why Davis collapsed.

He did not release any information about the nature of his illness.
